The processing of personal data is carried out by the Portuguese Triathlon Federation with the following laws:
Within the scope of the federated athlete and athlete participating in sports events within the scope of the Federation’s mission;
Within the scope of the contract established with internal and external collaborators and representatives of Partner institutions and Suppliers;
Expression of free consent of candidates and subscribers to communications such as newsletters;
Compliance with legal obligations to which the Portuguese Triathlon Federation is subject.
Personal data processed under the contract with internal Collaborators and Athletes are identification, performance and health data; the remaining treatments are restricted to identification data (name, address, contact number, tax number, when applicable)
When the processing of data is carried out by third party processors, the Triathlon Federation of Portugal qualifies them in order to obtain sufficient guarantees to ensure that the treatment meets the requirements of the RGPD and ensures the defense of the rights of the holders of personal data.
In accordance with our retention policy, personal data will be destroyed as soon as their lawfulness and purpose expires or whenever required by their holder by email to dpo@federacao-triatlo.pt with the subject “Remove”.
In particular, personal data relating to:
Athletes and representatives of Partner institutions and Suppliers, up to 5 years after the end of the contract, with the exception of mandatory tax information;
Candidates for internal and external Employees, up to 6 months after receipt, unless the candidates have been interviewed;
Communications subscribers, up to 10 years.
As the holder of personal data, you have the following rights:
Right to obtain confirmation that the data concerning you are or are not subject to processing and, if applicable, to access your personal data and access the information provided for by law;
Right for the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, without undue delay, to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you;
Right to request the erasure of your data, without undue delay, when, in particular, one of the following reasons applies:
– Personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or processed;
– You have withdrawn your consent to the processing of data (when applicable) and there is no other basis for such processing;
– You object to the processing and there are no prevailing legitimate interests that justify the processing.
Right to request the limitation of the processing of your personal data when:
– Dispute its accuracy, during the period that allows the Portuguese Triathlon Federation to verify its accuracy;
– The processing of data is lawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of personal data and requests, in return, the limitation of its use;
– The Portuguese Triathlon Federation no longer needs personal data for processing purposes, but these data are required by the holder for the purposes of declaring, exercising or defending a right in a judicial process;
Right to withdraw your consent, where applicable;
Right to file a complaint with the CNPD Control Authority.
